Dominic Trivisonno English 1120 Composition II Professor Bihary 5/8/16 Sports Rivalries and Its Impact on people in the Sports World My research explored, is about how the pride in one’s team can impact a community and the human need to feel like a winner. Also the emotional well-being on an individual or community. Sometimes an aggressive action by the opposing team turns to hatred and that’s a point that can elevate into a rivalry. A fan is someone who actually dedicates part of their every day to the teams her or she follows. That goes for even the days their team doesn’t perform the way they should have, because not every team can win them all. There are some sports fans out there and others who are more into the game and or team they show pride in are called fanatics. Both, fans and teams often view aggressiveness directed toward them as disrespectful. Sports rivalries are what fans and even what some of the athletes playing in the sports live for and wait the long season just to play in that one game. A lot of things or fact ors go into a rivalry to make it a â€Å"good one†. Some examples include how aggressive the teams may be, any backstabbing going on. For example if a player gets traded or leaves the school and finds itself playing his former team, Local pride, and the fan environment surrounding the team.
